Residential Courses in France

About the Courses

The courses comprise a range of tuition and activities.  Teaching takes place in the main house, but there are many spaces around the property equipped with desks for private study.  A typical day will comprise French tuition, practical language exercises and assignments, outings and activities.  Students are kept busy, but during down-time, they have access to a large games room which is equipped with table tennis, pool, and equipment to play music. as well as the swimming-pool in the summer months.

Getting there

The house is 30 minutes away from Toulouse airport. Both Gatwick and Heathrow airports have regular daily flights to Toulouse airport, and students will be collected on arrival at the airport. It is advisable to contact the organisers for recommendations on flight times which tie in with the course start and finish times.

Our son had a wonderful time – he waxed lyrical about the tightening of bonds with his class mates, your familial hospitality, the value of small groups, badminton, night swimming, breakfasts, dinners, donkeys, music evenings, and of course, the quality of the teaching …

I can’t thank you enough for the most wonderful time Xxx has spent with you this week! His first words when I saw him at the airport: “That was the best trip EVER!!’ … And with such expression and enthusiasm. Xxx said he really wanted to stay longer and didn’t even think of home while he was there. He really has had the most wonderful time and enjoyed every aspect, from the material covered on the course, your warm hospitality, the beautiful surroundings, the pool, the fishing, fabulous food (especially the best fried rice he has ever had) and home grown fruit and salads …

I’ve had one of the most enjoyable (but also productive!) weeks of my academic life and felt warmly welcomed immediately upon arrival. It has been entirely educational even when we weren’t in lessons; conversation was always captivating and so interesting … I feel I can’t sum up how much I’ve enjoyed and learnt this week.
